Got It Week 6

Introduction

This week our team focused on the development side and storyboarding our idea for the final video that will be presented at our pitch presentation. Our dev team finished the static (with some functionality) of the MVP, and everyone got started coding out the static version of the MVP flow. 

Coding

This week we already had the static of the MVP page complete so the focus this week was completing the static of the rest of the pages for the MVP flow. We will be showcasing the flow at our Midterm presentation. There we will present the pages and show how a user would open a document and what AI options are available. 

Storyboard

During our final presentation we will have a video “advertisement” that will play before we start talking. The last few weeks has been ideation and then storyboarding for the final video. This week we took what we had and refined it as much as possible. We then presented the storyboard to our class and got feedback on it. We will now take the notes and make any final changes before starting to film at the end of this week. 

Advisor Meeting

We did not have a meeting with Shifra this week as we did not have much to show her on the Development or Design side.

Blockers

The big blocker this week was that it was our midterm week! We had multiple exams and other large projects to get done so our group was incredibly busy with that going on.

What’s next

The next thing on our list is to really nail down the final look of our site and start adding the functionality and backend to our code. 

The large issue with this is that we have to learn all of the backend ourselves with little help from our instructors (for the most part). We mostly code in Javascript so it will be a bit of a challenge to work in the backend and try using Python for some of the document breakdown/conversion.
