Got it’s Weekly Report

Introduction

We are reaching the final stretch of our project!! This week, we focused on refining our final designs based on the user testing we did and preparing how we will showcase our main functionalities. 

Our design team is also building out our merchandise which is coming along nicely! We are making stickers and bookmarks that relate to the student and can be helpful for them during their studies. In addition, we’ve designed business cards and brochures to effectively present our project.

Coding

The development team has encountered a few hurdles, and we are making sure that our core features will function smoothly. Some elements planned to build required more time than we anticipated, so we are making strict decisions on what we need to deliver and communicate our product effectively. 

Despite these challenges, we are making steady progress and are focusing on completing our MVP flow. Any additional features that are out of our time scope will be represented statically, ensuring that we still convey the message we originally intended.

Blockers

Our main blockers at this stage is time. As we approach the end of the semester, the limited time frame has put a strain on what we had envisioned with our website. Our main mvp flow will be functional, however additional features that we hoped to build will be static for now to ensure that we can deliver a reliable experience.

At the same time, we have been managing other courses and final assignments, which has made us busy and loaded with other tasks. Our teammates have been overwhelmed trying to balance multiple deadlines, but we are doing our best to not stray away from our priorities, and are confident that we will be able to deliver a satisfying final product.

What’s Next?

Our next steps are to finalize our designs and continue coding to ensure all our core features run smoothly in time for our final presentation. Alongside development, we are currently in the process of editing the videos we had filmed last week to create a final video "advertisement" that will clearly display and communicate our website's concept. 

We plan to refine our presentation materials and make sure everything is prepared in order to deliver a confident, engaging, and impactful final presentation.
